Have you ever heard a lick played on the guitar at blistering speed and thought “how did they play that so fast”? There’s a good chance that that lick used hammer-ons, pull-offs and legato to achieve the speed!

In this lesson, Owen shows you a great warm-up exercise and 3 cool sounding licks to add speed and style into your guitar playing. Hammer-ons, pull-offs and legato are some of the techniques used by guitar masters like Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eddie Van Halen and many others to achieve incredible licks that sound fast and tasty at the same time.

In this lesson Owen will show you how to get started with the legato technique. If you want to add a new and exciting sounding technique to your guitar playing arsenal, try out these licks 🙂

Remember, practice these examples slowly, and to really improve your guitar playing speed build up the speed using a metronome for maximum results!
