In this video lesson I will give you some tips to get your strumming hand moving correctly, then move on to some basic strum techniques, and then some specific strumming patterns that you can use to start making your chords sound more like a song.

Also in this lesson I will give you an introduction to dynamics, which are a really important part of become a more expressive guitar player.

Another technique we will look at in this lesson is muted strumming, which gives a cool percussive sound, that you can add into your rhythm playing to make it even more interesting!
